Thematic block LIGHT
Optimal Lighting in Museums and Galleries

Short description
The themed block on light in the MUTEC Forum illuminates the topic from the perspective of lighting designers, users and manufacturers.
Description
Content: Light in museums has become more diverse thanks to the LED as a light source: Multimedia staging that can be controlled to the point and precisely defined light emission thanks to new, precise optics are changing exhibitions. And with precise control of light intensities and spectra, conservation concerns can also be addressed with precision.
About the presenter: Markus Helle (born 1969) has been editor-in-chief of the trade journal HIGHLIGHT, which deals with light, luminaires and lighting design in architecture, since 1998. The HIGHLIGHT publishing team also organises the German Lighting Design Award, which annually honours lighting designers in various categories - including museum lighting.
