Where Cultural Heritage Meets Technology: Newly Designed MUTEC from 2024
The MUTEC international trade fair for museum and exhibition technology is preparing for the future and has been redesigned for the next edition. To keep pace with the growth experienced at previous events and the speed of innovation in the industry, MUTEC will no longer share an exhibition hall with the European leading trade fair denkmal, but move into the neighbouring hall. Furthermore, the event will be shortened at the request of many participants from the industry. Instead of taking place from Thursday to Saturday, MUTEC is scheduled for Thursday and Friday (7 and 8 November 2024). As usual, this is at the same time as denkmal. Cultural heritage preservation and information remain at the heart of the trade fair, with exhibits ranging from exciting technologies and products to innovative concepts. Attendees can look forward to professional conversations with international experts.
MUTEC and denkmal Celebrate a Strong Comeback
After MUTEC and denkmal had to be cancelled two years ago owing to the pandemic, its exhibitors, partners and visitors were pleased to see this trade fair duo make a hugely successful comeback from 24 to 26 November 2022. The MUTEC international trade fair for museum and exhibition technology and denkmal, the leading European trade fair taking place at the same time, were both extremely busy and welcomed 12,800 visitors from 32 countries. "We've just experienced three intense days at the trade fair. You could really feel the enthusiasm of everyone there, every second of every day. Business relationships, expert discussions and personal meetings were the order of the day as MUTEC and denkmal impressively demonstrated how significant these trade fairs are as an international get-together for the entire industry", says a thrilled Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director at Leipziger Messe. This year, 473 exhibitors from 17 countries took part in the two trade fairs.
International Expertise at MUTEC 2022
Advancements in museum and exhibition technology are continuing to gather speed. From 24 to 26 November 2022 in Leipzig, visitors to MUTEC can discover the wide range of technological solutions that are available to museums and other cultural institutions. We anticipate record attendance at the international trade fair this year with more than 120 exhibitors from 12 countries. Visitors can expect three new exhibition areas and a comprehensive conference programme addressing current topics and debates.
MUTEC 2022 – Shaping the Museums and Cultural Institutions of the Future
How can museums and other cultural institutions adapt to become more attractive to visit? Which measures can be applied to improve services and internal processes? And how can institutions best protect their collections and exhibits? MUTEC, the international trade fair for museum and exhibition technology from 24 to 26 November in Leipzig, offers answers to these and many more questions. Exhibitors from home and abroad will be presenting their innovations and the conference programme invites you to visit compelling lectures, seminars and workshops on current topics. New this year are the exhibitor areas stage technology and equipment, museum merchandise and accessibility.
MUTEC 2022: Source of Inspiration for Museums and the Cultural Sector
After two difficult years, better times are now on the horizon for museums and other cultural institutions. Many institutions have used this period to develop new ideas and concepts. It is now time to put these into practice. Visitors to MUTEC can expect a wide range of innovations and solutions as well as a new exhibition area. The conference programme offers exciting ideas and expert knowledge on a variety of topics. The international trade fair draws on support from high-profile partners.
