A conversation with Friederike Koch-Heinrichs about the challenges facing museums in rural areas, realized visions and pitfalls in the renovation of museum buildings, cultural funding in times of tight budgets and educational gaps in the history of witch-hunting. Of course, MUTEC was also a topic of conversation - a trade fair that Ms. Koch-Heinrichs has been attending for a long time. 09/11/2024 denkmal & MUTEC 2024: Large number of visitors at anniversary The leading European trade fair denkmal, together with the parallel MUTEC, has once again proven itself to be the central international platform for the preservation and communication of cultural heritage. With 13,400 visitors, the trade fair duo continued its strong development and experienced noticeable growth - this was also evident in the two exhibition halls. 499 exhibitors from 26 countries met numerous interested, enthusiastic and innovation-hungry visitors. This international diversity is also reflected in their new products: they produce display cases and picture frames, develop systems to control and regulate temperature and humidity in museums and design exciting media installations that redefine exhibitions.
