MUTEC and its success stories: From trade fair discussions to long-standing partnerships

For many years, MUTEC has been the platform for encounters that move the museum world. One example of this is the successful cooperation between fotoboden and the Basel Museum of Ancient Art and Ludwig Collections.

“We first met at one of the early MUTEC trade fairs, around 2019, when I was still working with my colleague Ms. Dömming,” recalls Jessica Santos from fotoboden. This initial contact developed into an ongoing partnership that continues to result in new projects every year.

The collaboration is a win-win for both sides: fotoboden equips large, high-quality exhibitions at the Basel Museum of Ancient Art with customized flooring solutions that transform rooms into impressive worlds of experience. The projects are not only visually impressive, but also lucrative and sustainable for both partners.

The decisive factor was not only the personal contact at MUTEC, but also the careful follow-up: the trade fair meeting was followed by sample deliveries, regular feedback, and continuous support—at least once a quarter. “This intensified and strengthened the contact,” says Santos.

The cooperation impressively demonstrates how MUTEC, as a museum trade fair, creates new connections and enables long-term success stories in the world of culture and exhibitions.
