Crowdfunding for culture – from idea to campaign

Raising money online. Surely that must work. Unfortunately, however, there are many pitfalls to watch out for when it comes to crowdfunding. Even the choice of platform is crucial. But even more important are the many small details which, if overlooked, can quickly lead to failure. In his seminar on this topic – which is so important for the cultural sector – Matthias Daberstiel explains what to look out for and how to plan, run and successfully organise a campaign.

From fan to donation. Fundraising for culture

Culture and money. These still seem to be two poles that do not necessarily attract one another. And that is precisely where the misunderstanding begins. Because fundraising is not primarily about money. It’s about an attitude towards the people who want to support culture. But this requires more than just structures. Sometimes it doesn’t even need them. In fact, the path to a donation is quite straightforward for the cultural sector. All it needs to do is apply the same standards to its fundraising as it does to exhibitions, events and concerts. In his short talk, Matthias Daberstiel reveals where you can start to make a difference.
