Interaction, immersion and inclusion - a botanical experience goes digital!

3:00 PM - 3:30 PM Thu 07. Nov

Short description

In the "botanika" in Bremen, the landscapes of Asia meet an interactive world of experience. Up to now, the presentation has mostly been analog. In a project lasting more than a year, a complex digital level has now been introduced, which transports the exciting content via mobile devices, terminals or elaborate, interactive projections. At the same time, the exhibition was also redesigned, with particular emphasis placed on barrier-free accessibility and inclusive communication.

Description

The "botanika" offers several points of contact due to its variety of themes. Visitors can choose whether they want to experience the exhibition together with a butterfly researcher, an animal keeper, a species conservationist, a mysterious plant creature, a traveler or a Buddhist pilgrim. Each of the six protagonists appears virtually on the audience's mobile devices and involves them in an interactive dialog. The themed tours inspire with additional digital highlights:
- The protagonists greet you in the foyer as miniature holograms
- During the tour with the butterfly researcher, you are given the task of digitally caring for a butterfly visualized via augmented reality so that the adult butterfly develops from an egg.
The crowning glory is the "World of Diversity": an immersive 180-degree projection that reacts to users using gesture recognition: Great fun - especially for the young audience.
