Prof. Costas Galiotis

Vita

Prof. Costas Galiotis is Professor Emeritus at the University of Patras, a Collaborating Faculty Member at the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (ICE-HT) of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), and Coordinator of the DigiHeritage Erasmus-plus project. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to materials science, chemical engineering, and nanotechnology and has held senior academic and research positions in Greece and the United Kingdom. Over the course of his career, he has led and participated in numerous European research programmes and initiatives at the interface of advanced materials, emerging technologies, and engineering. His current activities extend this expertise to cultural heritage, bringing together nanomaterials-based approaches, advanced characterization, digital technologies, and innovation for the analysis, protection, preservation, and documentation of cultural assets.
