Until September 30, 2026, Sebastian Krück was a research associate in the Cultural Heritage Research division at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP. His work focuses on climate change adaptation (including work on the pilot project „Klimaanpassung in Kultureinrichtungen“) and HBIM.

Ready for the Future – Climate Adaptation in Museums.

Presentation of the Pilot Project

Cultural institutions are increasingly affected by the consequences of climate change: extreme weather events such as heavy rainfall, heat waves, and droughts cause damage to buildings, collections, and outdoor facilities. The presentation provides insights into the findings of the six participating museums, as well as into the worksheets made available by the State Office for Museums in Baden-Württemberg to all museums in German-speaking countries for independent use.
