This presentation analyses the transformation of digital knowledge transfer in the cultural sector through artificial intelligence. It examines three approaches: the AI chatbot ‘daialogue’ for the dialogic exploration of online collections; the ‘mėander’ principle, in which AI adapts content in real time based on the user’s location; and reflective, non-competitive learning through non-judgemental questions. Overall, a static collection is transformed into a dynamic, dialogic space for knowledge transfer that is accessible to all age groups.

Description

How is artificial intelligence transforming the digital dissemination of knowledge in the cultural sector? This talk explores this question from three perspectives. First, ‘daialogue’ will be introduced – an AI chatbot that enables users to explore online collections through dialogue rather than via rigid search fields: visitors ask questions and receive answers based on verified collection data. This is followed by the ‘mëander’ principle: an adaptive, space-based narrative in which AI compiles curated content in real time, tailored to the user’s location. Finally, the focus is on reflective, non-competitive learning: rather than testing knowledge, open-ended, non-judgemental questions encourage independent thinking – an educational principle that can also be applied to online collections. In this way, a static collection is transformed into a vibrant, dialogic space for learning that is equally accessible to people of all ages and levels of knowledge.
