daialogue turns online collections into interactive spaces for discovery and interpretation, helping visitors explore content more actively and at a level that suits their knowledge and interests.
Going beyond a conventional search function, daialogue lets users explore a collection through conversation. The chatbot answers questions about objects, artists, materials and historical context, while carefully placed follow-up questions encourage deeper exploration. This helps visitors uncover connections, themes and works they may never have come across through a standard search alone. daialogue also adapts to different audiences and levels of prior knowledge. Children receive clear, accessible explanations without unnecessary jargon, while expert users can access more detailed background information and richer contextual interpretation.
Responses are based on the museum’s own collection data, for example from MuseumPlus by zetcom, together with curated editorial content. Object information can be enriched with curatorial texts, FAQs, glossaries, interpretation content and accessibility information. Where information is missing, daialogue says so transparently rather than filling the gaps with invented content.
daialogue can be integrated into online collections, museum websites and web applications, and tailored to each institution’s data, visual identity and interpretation approach.
