Learning from visitors: How AI brings museums closer to their audiences

Thanks to conversational AI, museums can, for the first time, hear what truly moves visitors about an exhibit, in their own words. The talk demonstrates how these questions help to build up a picture of the audience, which curators can then use in discussions with funding bodies and sponsoring organisations.

The curatorial voice in the age of AI

AI has long been part of the museum experience. Around a third of visitors are already using it, although they still place more trust in the museum itself than in AI. This talk explores how museums are responding to this demand whilst maintaining their curatorial voice, avoiding misinformation and learning from visitors.
