Image Access, a technological market leader in innovative digitization solutions, has developed the WideTEK® 36ART, a large format scanner, specifically designed to scan fine art. With the new WideTEK® 60ART, larger objects can now be digitized.
The art scanner enables contact free scanning of works of fine art like oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, charcoal and pastel drawings, mixed media collages and antique works of art. With a special scanning process, even the three-dimensional impression of the paint application can be reproduced.
This opens new possibilities for museums and galleries to preserve cultural treasures and make them accessible to the public. All this will be supported by the fine art scanners WideTEK® 36ART and the new WideTEK® 60ART. The new fine art scanner digitizes surfaces at 1200 dpi in formats up to 1524 x 2032mm/60 x 80 inches and up to 140 mm/5.5 inches high, whereby the scanned objects can be up to 240 mm thick in total.
