Our Story

IoT Fabrikken was founded in 2018 by Mikkel Fischer and Jon Wichmann. However, the foundations of the company were laid long before that. The two co-founders brought an impressive track record with them, having previously built two highly successful technology companies: DIBS, a pioneer in secure online payments, now part of Nets, and eSmiley, the leading provider of digital food safety solutions for commercial kitchens, canteens, and hospitals across Northern Europe. Please note that eSmiley login access is not available on this website, as the product continues to operate on its own dedicated domain.

Together, they have more than 25 years of extensive experience in developing software that makes everyday work easier. This experience forms the very core of IoT Fabrikken. As our name suggests, we harness the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) to eliminate complexity. We believe that securing essential data should be as simple as installing a sensor that automatically connects to the network and delivers valuable insights.

Our guiding principle is simple: technology should always support your daily work. It should be precise, completely reliable, and accessible to everyone, regardless of their IT skills.

Today, IoT Fabrikken operates from two offices in Denmark: Roskilde in the east and Hørning in the west. We also work closely with dedicated partners in several countries, with Germany and Sweden among our most important growth markets.

What began as a vision shared by two men has grown into a highly successful company that makes a tangible difference every day. We currently provide our solutions to 70 Danish municipalities, as well as numerous private companies, housing associations, museums, churches, and industry consultants.

We are incredibly proud that thousands of customers now rely on our system every day to support and improve their work in facility management, space management, and cultural heritage preservation.
