Paulina Florjanowicz, PhD, is an archaeologist and expert in cultural heritage management, with more than twenty years of experience in senior public sector roles across Poland's cultural heritage institutions, as well as in NGOs and European bodies. She is a long-standing member of ICOM, currently serving on the board of ICOM Poland, and has sat on ICOM's International Committee for Museum Security (ICOM Security), with expertise extending to museum security, resilience strategies, and fighting crime against cultural heritage. She serves on the executive board of Network of European Museum Organisations and has sat on numerous European expert panels, including the European Heritage Label panel and the European Capital of Culture jury. She is also a researcher in the theory of archaeology and its relationship to politics.
